Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory located in Albuquerque, New Mexico
has a requirement for roof replacement in Building 10009 and 10010. The
current building configuration consists of three attached buildings
with flat roofs that are stepped at different heights from one another.
The current roof material is a built-up system with gravel ballast,
perimeter gravel stop, and roof scuppers. There are no existing
parapets. There are several existing HVAC units and pipe penetrations
that shall need to be accommodated by the new roof system. The HVAC
units shall need to be removed and reinstalled with new curbs as
required to meet the specified warranty. The vet pipes shall need to be
extended and flashed as required by the new roof and to meet the
plumbing and mechanical codes. The proposed replacement roof shall be
a single sloped, standing seam metal panel roof framed over the top of
the existing roof. The new roofs shall be sloped at -inch per 1'-0"
from the front of the building to the back of the building. The longest
section of roof shall be sloped approximately 1/8-inch per 1'-0" in
order for the ridgeline to match the other roofs. Gutters and
downspouts shall need to be provided and installed along the back of
the building. The purlins shall need to be set on metal stud framing to
create the necessary increase in slope and to achieve the new ridge
height along the front of the building. All of the required
manufacturer's installation details and specification shall be provided
with the Request for Quotation. Contractor shall provide a complete
roof installation including but not limited to metal stud framing,
purlins, batt insulation, metal roof panels, metal flashings, pipe
flashings, equipment curbs, metal wall panels, metal trim and closure
pieces, and gutters and downspouts. Site visit shall be scheduled after
