The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission to El Salvador is seeking proposals from qualified companies interested in providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Public Health in the design and implementation of a comprehensive Health Information System which fully responds to the Ministry of Health needs for timely, reliable health data for managerial, policy planning and reporting purposes. In addition, the Contractor will design a companion National Health Information System that will meet the country's needs for accurate comprehensive information on health statistics and outcomes from all sources, not only the Ministry of Health. Organizations are encouraged to indicate whether they are Gray Amendment entities when requesting the solicitation and may indicate that they do not wish to be included on the list, USAID does not endorse the listed organizations of being capable of carrying out the activity, nor does USAID verify the claimed status of the companies. Necessarily the list will contain the names of only those known prior to issuance of the solicitation document. RFP El Sal 99-010 will be available on or after May 7, 1999.
