Office of Policy, Planning and Administration, Substance Abuse and
Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) through the Program
Support Center, General Acquisitions Branch intends to award a sole
source simplified acquisition to University of Massachusetts, Center
for Research on Mental Health, in Worcester, MA. The requirement is for
visiting programs as an essential step in describing "promising
practices" for parents with psychiatric disorders and their families.
The contractor shall meet with providers, service recipients and family
members at six program sites across the country. The contractor shall
thoroughly describe the programs, including reviewing the theoretical
underpinnings, services offered, provider and service recipient goals,
program activities viewed as helpful by staff and consumers, etc. This
on site interview material will be integrated with existing program
documents, such as administrative reports, agency statistics, media
articles, grant proposals, and management information system data.
