The USDA Forest Products Laboratory, is soliciting proposals for a construction project consisting of both the furnishing and installation a rooftop exhaust system with lightning protection on Buildings 33 and 34 in Madison, Wisconsin. The scope of work is to provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and transportation as required to provide and install a pre-engineered "rooftop exhaust system" which will manifold to existing laboratory fume hood exhaust ducts. The project includes removal and disposal of existing ductwork, penetrating and patching the roof system, removing and patching existing penetrations, installation of all electrical and control wiring and installation of lightning protection systems. It is necessary the contractor perform the job in a manner that minimally impacts the facility operations. Contract time is 60 calendar days. Award of a firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Price range is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. Selection will be based on evaluation criteria identified in the RFP, including experience, past performance and price. This acquisition is conducted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This is not set aside for small business; all sources may submit a proposal.
