Sources sought for an 8(a) set aside, IDIQ Construction Contract for Roofing Systems Installation and Repair. Work located at Federal Installations on Guam and in the Northern Mariana Islands. In order to submit proposal, offeror must: (a) be certified for participation in the 8(a) program; (b) have a SIC Code 1761 among their approved SIC Codes; (c) be serviced by or have bona fide places of business within the geographic boundaries of the Hawaii SBA District Office (which includes Guam); (d) be able to submit evidence of bonding in the amount prescribed in the solicitation. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools, instruments, transportation, supervision, quality control, and safety measures necessary to perform the work. Contractor shall be capable of satisfactorily furnishing and installing all items listed in the schedule. The items are related to various types of roofing systems installation and repair work, including but not limited to: built-up roofing; metal roofing; liquid membrane applied roofing; substrate preparation; roofing components such as vents, gutters and downspouts. Contract is a base year and 4 option years. Minimum yearly dollar amount is $100,000. Total estimated price including base year and all option years exceeds $10,000,000. 8(a) Contractor will be required to perform at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract with its own employees, not including the cost of materials, per FAR 52.219-14(b)(4). Written technical proposals are required in addition to schedule of unit prices. Requests for Proposals (RFP's) will be issued on 3 May 1999.
