The Government intends to extend the final ordering period of contract F19628-91-D-0012 with RACAL Communications, Inc, 5 Research Place, Rockville MD. 20850-3213 through 31 March 2000. All equipment is to be delivered within 10 months of order and must be fully compliant with the all requirements of SCOP-COM-3600B, dated 9 November 1994. This contract is an ID/IQ production contract for the delivery of hand held radios and ancillary equipment for the Scope Shield II Program. Scope Shield II is a complete ground radio communications system with interchangeable, common logistics equipment purchased for active duty and reserve forces. The Government does not own rights to technical data or drawings for this equipment. If no additional responsible sources are identified as a result of this announcement the Government intends to negotiate a modification to the existing contract, on a sole-source basis, under the authority of 10 U.S. C.2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Any information submitted in response to this notice will be fully considered and will be evaluated without prejudice.
