D. Palmore This IDQ project will be UNRESTRICTED. This procurement is
for Lead Calcium or Lead Antimony Batteries for Uninterruptible Power
Supply (UPS) equipment. Each battery shall consist of a number of
cells, electrolyte (if required), technical documentation, and
accessories as specified. Battery racks or cabinets shall be provided
to install the battery cells. The Contractor shall furnish batteries
either wet charged, dry charged, or maintenance free as specified.
Provide system installation as specified. Technical services shall be
provided for site visits and surveys, installation, installation
inspection, initial battery charging, maintenance, and training of site
personnel. The Standard Industrial Code is 61. This is a Firm-Fixed
Price contract for a five year duration (1 year plus 4 option years).
The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals, whereby offerors will
be required to submit descriptive literature, a price proposal, and
past performance information. Award shall be made to the
responsibleofferor whose proposals, conforming to the solicitation,
represent the best value to the Government in terms of price, past
performance, and other non-price related factors. Response to the
Request for Proposal will be evaluated using price, past performance,
and other non-price related factors. The contract will be awarded with
fixed-price provisions. Requests for the solicitation may be mailed to
Naval Facilities Engineering Command Contracts Office, Washington Navy
Yard, 1435 Pendellton Ave., SE, Bldg 218, Suite 3000, Washington, DC
20374-5063 or sent via facsimile by using (202) 433-5244. Contractors
within the local area are encouraged to pick up a copy of the
solicitation at Bldg 218 (third floor) of the WNY between the hours of
0730 and 1500 EST, Monday-Friday. There will be no charge for these
documents, however, there will only be one set issued per contractor.
