66 -- NOTICE OF INTENT TO PURCHASE SOLE SOURCE KARL FISCHER MODULE SOL 23719 DUE 041699 POC sonja robinson 317-298-1180 ext 1123 The U.S. Customs Service intends to purchase as sole source a Eurokarl Karl Fischer instrument module to be used to determine water content and alcoholic grade of distillates produced by the fermentation of agricultural products (e.g. peanuts, fruit products, etc.) Data obtained from this equipment is necessary to determine the geographic source of agricultural products and also to determine if natural products are adulterated with synthetic products. The equipment must be fully compatible with the Eurofins Site Specific Natural Isotope Fractionation (SNIF) program and the Laboratory's existing equipment. The unit is specifically designed to operate with their SNIF program. Prospective sources should submit to Sonja R.
