This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number N00161-99-Q-0068 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 6. The purchase of this requirement is being solicited as unrestricted. The Standard Classification Code is 7320. A list of contract line item numbers and items, quantities and unit of measure is: CLIN 0001 APV GAULIN HOMOGENIZER MODEL 3-15-3P OR EQUAL. Specs are as follows: Initial Capacity: 300 gph (maximum capacity 610 gph). Operating pressure: 2,500 psi (maximum design pressure 3,000 spi), 7.7 hp required for initial capacity. Motor: ODP, 10 hp, 3 phase, 60 llz, 230/460 volt, 1200 RPM. Cylinder block: 15-5 ph stainless steel with in line flow pattern which climinates dead ends. Plungers: Three, 35mm-diameter, duplex stainless steel operating at 125 rpm. Plunger packing assembly will be spring-loaded to provide a constant, correct compression. Pump valves: Poppet type, cobalt based wear resistant alloy. Pump valve seats (field replaceable) Cobault based wear-resistant alloy. Inlet and discharge connections: Tri-Clamp. Homogenizing Valve Assembly: Two stage homogenizing valve assembly, manually actuated. Homogenizing valve and seat: Coball-based wear resistant alloy first and second stages. Lube pump motor: ODP 3/4 hp, 3 phase, 60hz, 230/460 volts, 1800 rpm. Pressure guage: 0-5,000 psi. Noise level-85db2. Base assembly: stainless steel exterior with easy opening, lockable side panels for quick access to the maintenance compartment. Other features include: low oil pressure cut-out switch, pressurized oil lubrication system, initial charge of lubricating oil, motor start/stop push buttons; V-belt drive assembly, adjustable ball feet mounting; and tools unique to this machine. Delivery date to be 30-60 days after receipt of order. Manufacturer's Standard Commercial Warranty is required.
