The current area to be renovated consists of a large office for two managers; one restroom, a conference room, utility room with heating system broiler and water heater, one unused classroom, a large recent addition to be included in the renovation, and two classrooms for business technology and computer operator courses. The area cited above is approx. 5200 sq. ft. It is to be reconfigured for four offices, one conference room to include a service counter (coffee, small refrigerator), closet/storage space, mail/sorting area for distribution of correspondence for 12 instructors, each receptionist and secretary station, two teaching areas for the classes large enough to accommodate 18 students in each, and a copy and fax machine station. The office locations above need to be positioned to allow for maximum visual observation of the teaching/conference room. It is expected that use of kneewalls and glass would be extensive; would be serviced by the receptionist and secretary stations; and two to four person conference area be in proximity to the offices. The conference room will be configured to allow for groups of up to 20 people and accommodate a ceiling mounted projection system and whiteboard/screen for group presentations. The required design services will include and be limited to: -- a maximum of three site visits; -- prepare necessary floor plan drawings/design for the proposed renovation (Job Corps will generate final working drawing for the project.); -- assistance in selection of materials, colors, related tools and equipment.
