73 AND 41 -- FIELD FEEDING EQUIPMENT The Defense Industrial Supply Center(DISC) is seeking proposals from business entities interested in participating in a acquisition as a Primary Vendor for the Field Feeding Equipment initative. This initiative will encompass all supplies associated with Field Feeding Equipment for Federal Stock Classes 73 and 41 and Request for Proposal SP050099R0035. The Request for Proposal will be broken down into five separate lots which are as follows: M2A Burner Unit Items, the M59 Field Range Cabinet item, plastic items, fabric items, and sheet metal (fabrication) items. Prospective contractors should have or have the capability shortly after award, an on-line Electronic Order Entry (EOE) system with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capability. The Prime Vendors will be expected to manufacture or procure all of the items in their lot and provide vendor managed inventory. The Prime Vendor will receive requisitions directly from the customers for the lot items. The Prime Vendor will then provide immediate delivery directly to the customer. Subject solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside except for the plastic item lot, which will be issued on an unrestricted basis. This will be a best value source selection acquisition in which technical merit is considered equally important as price.
