S -- CLASS 3 COINLESS VENDING MACHINE SERVICES SOL RFQ 405-0006 DUE 061699 POC Doug Fear, Contracting Officer, Phone: (606) 253-8894 The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a class 3 coinless vending machine contract. Services are to be provided to the inmate population at the Federal Prison Camp and Federal Correctional Institution, 14601 Burbridge Road SE, Cumberland, Maryland. Requirement includes: twenty (20) each washing machines, twenty (20) each dryer machines, fifteen (15) each bottled (no glass) soda/canned juice machines, twelve (12) each snack machines, three (3) each paper copier machines, ten (10) each microwave machines to be provided in conjunction with snack machines located in housing units. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the confines of the institution will be required to submit to security clearances. Normal service hours will be between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm, seven days a week. Workman's compensation and liability insurance shall be required. This will be a competative procurement. It is anticipated this solicitation will result in a "best value" procurement award. Award will be made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government with price, and other factors considered. The base year of the contract will run for 12 months from the date of award with four (4) additional one-year option periods that may be exercised in accordance with the resulting contract. On-site performance is anticipated to commence on October 5, 1999. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be mailed approximately May 14,1999. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. U.S. Department of Labor Service Wage Determination/Decisions have been requested for Allegany County as they apply to this solicitation for Vending Machine Attendant, Vending Machine Repairer, and Vending Machine Repairer Helper.
