Y -- HARTFORD LEVEE UNDERSEEPAGE REPAIR, JOHN REDMOND LAKE, KANSAS SOL DACW56-99-B-0030 DUE 060399 POC Diane Cianci, Contract Specialist, 918/669-7270 The Hartford Levee Underseepage Repair Project contains two phases of construction. They are (1) construction of seal around existing conduit and (2) slurry wall cutoff. The seal around the conduit shall be constructed so that it is keyed into the seal. The slurry wall cutoff will be constructed along the riverside toe of the levee from approximate levee station 25+15 to 27+65. The slurry wall cutoff will be constructed of plastic concrete. it will provide a full cutoff through the pervious sand layers in the foundation. The cutoff will penetrate the rock two feet. The seal around the conduit will be constructed using normal excavation and backfilling methods. Some method of dewatering will likely have to be used during construction of the seal. Estimated cost range of this project is $100,000 to $250,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about April 29, 1999, and will be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) free of charge. The number of CD-ROMs will be limited to one (1) per firm. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
