These gates are to replace the existing lock miter gates in the 1200' chamber. Gates are to be fabricated in sections, shipped to the site via barge and assembled at the LRS Wharf Extension at McAlpine Locks. The Wharf Extension, scheduled for completion by the end of this year, provides a work area for the contractor to assemble the gates. After the miter gates are assembled, they are to be stored at this site. The contract is a request for proposal and offers will be evaluated on the following basis: 1.)
