SIC Code 1542: THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY.
Provide all labor and materials required for the construction of an
approximately 18,000 square foot concrete parking lot and a sallyport
at the U.S. Border Patrol Station, Corpus Christi, Texas. There is one
(1) option that may or may not be exercised. Option I is to provide a
keyed entry gate at the main entrance into the parking/sallyport area.
The next requirement is a project consisting of constructing canopies
at two locations. The first location is the Sarita Checkpoint at
Kingsville, Texas, and two canopies will be required here. There are
four (4) options at this location which may or may be exercised. Option
1 to the west canopy, provide fence with slats to screen vehicles.
Option 2 to the west canopy, provide paving under new canopy. Option 3
at existing canopy provide labor, and additional materials if
required, to install a 10' metal screen on west side of canopy at the
three inner column bays. Option 4 at the east canopy, provide canopy to
cover water source tank about 15' just north of scheduled canopy. The
second location is the U. S. Border Patrol Station, at Rio Grande City,
Texas, and a main canopy and several smaller canopies will be required.
There is only one (1) Option here, Option 5, which is to provide
canopies to cover vehicles parked south and east of the Locker room
building. All above options may or may not be exercised. The estimated
cost range of the project is $100,000 to $250,000. Time of
construction is 100 days. The solicitation will be issued on or about
April 20, 1999. Project A2277640, Solicitation No. GS-07P-99-ULC-0010.
The project is being procured using negotiated procedures which will
result in a firm-fixed price award to the offeror which provides the
"best value" to the Government with price being the most important. The
solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be
available over the internet. These documents will be in PDF format and
will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed
using a WW browser application. GSA is issuing this solicitation only
electronically. Interested parties may access the solicitation at
http://eps.arnet.gov. This site provides instructions for downloading
the solicitation file. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor
this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy
of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced numbered
notes can be viewed at the above website. This solicitation is set
aside for small business. Bid/performance bonds will be required.
