The proposed project includes, but is not limited to, replacement of cables, switchgear and modifications to five (5) manholes. Switching, loading and sequencing of existing loads between feeders is required, while performing the modification. A bid additive is included to install a new manhole to house two new interrupter switches at existing manhole. This work requires, asbestos abatement and lead based paint removal; PCB switch removal; excavation, trenching, and back filling for utilities systems; cleaning and identification of underground ducts, utility structures, wires, cables and connections; medium voltage cable splices, terminations and connections: 15KV fault interrupting switches; sectionalizing and selector switches; supporting devices; 15KV cable installation; manhole and ductwork grounded neutral system; demolition and removal of duct bank, conduit, power raceway; Mandrelling and rodding of existing underground ducts andraceways. On-site storage of materials will be permitted. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials (except GFP), and equipment necessary to perform work. The following Government Furnished Property (GFP) estimated value of $85,000 will be provided by the government and installed by the contractor (2 each-3-phase selector switch, 1 each-3-phase vacuum interrupter switch, 3 each-1-phase vacuum interrupter switch). Contract type will be Firm Fixed Price. The performance period is 100 days administrative time and 90 days on-site. The estimated construction magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. The applicable SIC code is 1623. The small business size standard is $17 million or less in average annual receipts of the concern and its affiliates over the preceding three fiscal years.
