The Government intends to purchase on a sole source all or none basis the following items manufactured by Miltope Corporation of Troy, Al.: (1) 60HZ Power cable distribution wiring harnesses, P/N 477090-1 (5 each); (2) 400HZ Power cable distribution wiring harnesses, P/N 477091-1 (5 each). These power cables are for the RD-358A(V)UYK Tactical Recorder/Reproducer (9-track tape drive) that is military specific. MILTOPE Corporation is the manufacturer and only source for the RD-358A(V)UYK. They have the proprietary rights to this equipment and all parts used in maintaining it. These items are replacement parts due to "high mileage" or wearing out. MILTOPE is the sole source of technical drawings of all parts used in the RD-358A(V)UYK and these cables need to be manufactured specific to be directly compatible with the equipment. These cables are unique to this piece of equipment only. These specific part numbers are needed due to different size wire, pins, and connectors inside each cable. This requirementis to be awarded utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All contractors shall provide written documentation stating they are authorized to provide these items from Miltope Corporation. All contractors shall fax their quote which shall be considered by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Va. to FAX: 540-653-7016 Attn: Barbara Walters. All vendors shall provide their Dunn and Bradstreet number, their CAGE Code, their TAX Identification number, FSC Code and SIC Code. All vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Data Base. All items shall be shipped FOB Destination to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, Va. 22448. Closing date is 23 April 1999.
