F -- SOUTHNAVFACDENGCOM FIXED PRICE, INSURES ENVIRONMENTAL RESTORATION CONTRACT FOR SOUTHERN DIVISION SOL N62467-99-R-0960 POC Robert Hess, Contracting Officer, E-mail address: hessrw@efdsouth.navfac.navy.mil This solicitation for the total current environmental cleanup program, known and unknown (investigation, cleanup, response action operations, long term monitoring and site closeout) will result in the award of one contract. One contract will be awarded to provide remediation of any media contaminated by solvents, petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POL), metals, acids, bases, reactives, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), and pesticides. Along with these more commonly encountered contaminants, some sites require remediation of general radiological or limited ordnance waste or unexploded ordnance. These contaminants may be present in soils, sediments, groundwater, air, sludge, surface water, or man-made structures. The contaminated sites may be landfills, hazardous waste treatment storage and disposal facilities, tanks, lagoons, fire fighting training areas, or other DOD facilities in area listed below. The contract will be a FIRM FIXED PRICE outcome based type contract with payments based on meeting milestones and deliverables. The successful offeror will be required to indemnify the Government from any environmental claims throughout the remediation effort and through the transfer and reuse of the property. The successful offeror shall have demonstrated the financial and management capacity to sustain a project of this type with its attendant risk and financial requirements.
