S -- GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICE CONTRACT SOL RFQ 894-138-99 DUE 060499 POC Daniel Agrimson 612-725-2178 The VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN intends to solicit a Performance Based Contract to obtain Ground Maintenance Services at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. The overall purpose of the Grounds Maintenance Services Contract is to plan, organize, interact, manage, and control those programs and activities required to maintain an acceptable appearance of the cemetery grounds based on predicated economic, ecological and social consequences. The area requiring service is approximately 279 acres, some areas containing but not limited to: trees, gravestones, fences, curbs, and sidewalks. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, professional expertise, attendance at cemetery staff meetings, equipment, products/product lists, materials, and planning tools to include but not inclusive: time lines, bench marking, schedules, grounds maintenance plans, preventive/maintenance schedules, and ADP record keeping, necessary to sufficiently meet the requirements to maintain a healthy, aesthetic grounds appearance to include mowing, trimming, grave maintenance, fertilization, maintaining proper pH levels, aeration, thatching, tree/shrub care, edging, floral pick up, electronic record keeping/reporting, head stone/monument raise, realign, and clean. The VA will provide fertilizer, a break room, and equipment storage area for use only during performance of this contract. This Procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business.
