The RFP for the cost comparison study for the most efficient and cost effective method of providing distribution services in the management and operation of the Defense Distribution Depot Warner Robins (DDWG) located in Warner Robins, GA, will be available and anticipated to be issued on or about April 30, 1999, over the Internet at the following address http://www.supply.dla.mil/a76. The resultant contract awarded, if any, will be awarded on an all or none basis as a Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with Cost Reimbursement Provisions. The contract performance period will be a three year base period with the potential of an additional two year option period. This requirement will be issued on an unrestricted basis. SIC and Size Standard is 4225 -- 18.5M. This solicitation will not result in a contract if Government performance is determined to be more advantageous in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 procedures. Hard copies of the RFP will not be available. Past performance information will be required not later than (NLT) June 1, 1999. The RFP closing date is June 24, 1999. The Defense Logistics Agency will host a Preproposal Conference/Site Visit with a DSS Hands on Demonstration on Sunday, May 23, 1999, and Monday, May 24, 1999, at DDWG, Warner Robins, Georgia. Due to the DSS Hands on Demonstration and the Preproposal Conference/Site Visit being conducted concurrently, a maximum of two attendee's will be allowed to attend the DSS Hands on Demonstration and a maximum of two attendees to attend the Preproposal Conference/Site Visit. Only those having confirmed reservations prior to COB May 14, 1999, will be permitted to attend. Reservations are to be made via email to defense_depots@dscc.dla.mil.
