The RFP for the cost comparision study for the most efficient and cost effective method of providing distribution services in the management and operation of the Defense Distribution Depot Barstow, California (DDBC) will be available and is anticipated for issuance on or about April 30, 1999 over the Internet at the following address: http://www.supply.dla.mil/a76. The resultant contract awarded, if any, will be awarded on an all or none basis as a Fixed Price(IDIQ)Contract with Cost Reimbursement Provisions. The contract performance period will be a three year base period with the potential of an additional two year option period. This requirement will be issued on an unrestricted basis. SIC and Size Standard is 4225 -- $18.5 million. This solicitation will not result in a contract if Government performance is determined to be more advantageous in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 procedures. Hard copies of the RFP will not be available. Past Performance information will be required NLT June 1, 1999. The RFP closing date is June 17, 1999. The Preproposal Conference / Site Visit with a DSS Hands on Demostration (HOD) on Saturday May 15, 1999 and Sunday May 16, 1999 at DDBC, Barstow, California. Due to the DSS HOD and Preproposal Conference / Site Visit being conducted concurrently, a maximum of two attendees will be allowed to attend the DSS HOD, and a maximum of two can attend the Preproposal Conference / Site Visit.
