Phila intends to acquire IAW FAR Part 12, as a commercial items acquisition, on a small business set aside basis using simplied acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR Part 13 for the removal of approximately 3000 gallons of sewage (CHT), and oily in support of the USS CLARK during their participation in the 1999 Great Lakes Cruise Program. The contractor must have the facilities to remove a total of 3,000 gallons of CHT within 1 hour of the CLARK's arrival. CHT removal services will be required 3 times a day when docked and on occassion while in transit. A tentative visitation schedule for the 1999 Great Lakes Cruise Program is as follows: Montreal, CA. Port Weller, Ont., Ogdensburg, NY., Cleveland, OH., Chicago, IL., Milwaukee, WI., Port Huron, MI., St. Ignace, MI. Muskegon, MI. Sault St. Marie, MI., St. Joseph, MI. Duluth, MN, and Erie, PA. . The Period of Performance for this requirement is expected to begin late June and continue through late August 99. The SIC code for this acquisition effort is 4499. The proposed RFQ will be issued on or about 20 April 99. It is expected that firm fixed price service contract will be the result of this acquisition action. CBD note 1 applies to this procurement.
