The A/E is to provide all investigations, design surveys, verification of as-built conditions, construction drawings, cost estimates, phasing plan, and estimated construction time required for each project for a fully design developed set of construction documents for replacement and upgrade of the Emergency Generator controls as one separate construction project. This solicitation is also for the same firm under the same contract to provide all of the same information for a second independent set of fully developed setof construction documents for the installation of a new Cooling Tower to replace the existing cooling towers (two, two cell units). The A/E design firm team will be comprised of at least the services of licensed architect, licensed mechanical (with cooling tower design expertise) engineer, licensed electrical engineer (with generator control expertise), and licensed structural engineer. The construction budget range has not been determined at this time and will be the first item for the consulting firm to determine for each phase. All designs shall meet applicable national codes and VA design criteria. Selection will be based upon recent specialized experience, professional capacity to accomplish work, professional qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to the contract. Interested firms shall submit two (2) copies of their 254's and 255's no later than close of business (4:00 p.m.) Friday May 14, 1999.
