J -- ELEVATOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS SOL USDC-99-B-0003 DUE 060499 POC Mr. Fernandez, Contracting Officer, 305-523-5075 The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, coordination, planning, scheduling, labor (all mechanics must be qualified), transportation, facilities, materials, parts, supplies, tools, and equipment, necessary to effect ALL preventive maintenance and repairs to ALL elevators located at the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, 300 NE First Ave, and 301 North Miami Ave, Miami,Fl in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor is required to respond within one (1) hour for call-back services to restore elevator services in cases of elevator shutdown or if emergency trouble should develop between regular examinations. The contractor is required to provide a 24-Hour telephone line in order for the government to report call-back services and/or emergencies. This solicitation provides for a base performance period, plus one option year. The base performance period may be from Aug 1, 1999 to 31 July 2000. The option period is subject to FAR Clause 52.232-19, Availability of Funds for the Next Fiscal Year (APR 1984). SIC Code is 3534. Each contractor's employee assigned to work at the courthouse complex is subject to a NCIC and local police records check prior to be allowed to work. Upon request, each contractor must provide all requested personal data to enable the government to run the background check. Any employee receiving an unfavorable clearance will not be allowed at the courthouse complex. This solicitation may be issued on/about May 1999. This solicitation is an unrestricted procurement. A limited number of this solicitation will be reproduced, therefore, copies will be provided on a "first-come-first served" basis until the supply is exhausted.
