E-MAIL: Mitz Van Asdlan, vanasdlanm@elmendorf.af.mil. The Contracting Office, Elmendorf AFB, AK, has a requirement for the Operation and Maintenance of the Eareckson Air Station located 1500 miles S. W. of Anchorage, Alaska on the Aleutian Chain. The contract will be for the maintenance and operation of facilities on Eareckson AS, AK to include management, technical and logistics to support a 10,000 ft runway and tenant customers. The contract will be for a seven month base with four one- year option periods. Estimated release date of the Final Request for Proposal (RFP) will be on or about 12 May 99. There will be a site visit to Eareckson AS, AK, 18 through 21 May 99. Those offerors wishing to attend the Site Visit must notify the point of contact no later than 07 May 99, 4:00 PM local. Each attendee shall be issued a letter of invitation that shall be processed through their local Military Transportation Movement Office. Each attendee will be charge on the site $87.00 per day for meals and lodging. Additionally there will be a preproposal conference 24May 99 at the Non Commissioned Officer's Club, 2nd floor Yukon Room, 31-145 Oak St., Elmendorf AFB, AK 99506, 8:00 AM local time.
