J -- LPD CLASS, PMA This synopsis, previously publicized, Contract N00024-95-C-8507, with Southwest Marine, Inc., is now being modified. The Procuring Contracting Officer has determined that a Fleet request to substitute the FY99 Phased Maintenance Availability (PMA) on USS JUNEAU (LPD-10) with FY 00 DPMA DUBUQUE (LPD-8) due to the vessels' swapping of homeports, is within the general scope of the contract. Hence, the Administrative Contracting Officer is proceeding with action to execute this requested ship substitution through a modification to the contract. The requested action will also require an extension of the current contract period of performance by 12 days. A request to extend the contract is also anticipated to receive favorable consideration by the Naval Sea Systems Command. This notice is being published for informational purposes only.
