COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 20,1999 PSA#2328M -- SECURITY SERVICES, VARIOUS LOCATIONS, PORTLAND, OR The General
Services Administration, Public Building Service, Facilities Services
(10PMM), Auburn, Washington, intends to issue a (*SOLE SOURCE*)
contract for security services to The Association for Portland Progress
(the Association). The Association provides the security services under
the Agreement for Downtown Clean and Safe District Management Services
on public property under the control of the City of Portland. GSA's
minimum requirement is to provide maximum assurance of a safe and
healthy workplace for Federal employees. Because the Association is
under contract with the City of Portland to perform security services
for property under the control of the city under uniform District-wide
security standards, the Association has the unique capability to
provide security services to GSA which are coordinated and integrated
with the security services provided to other property owners in the
District. Due to the critical importance of coordination and control in
implementing effective and responsive security measures, GSA's needs
most effectively can be satisfied (*ONLY*) by contracting with the
Association for the required services. For additional information
contact the Contracting Officer, Donna Hutchens, at (253) 31-7355. See
numbered Note 22. WEB: Visit this URL for the latest information about
