TUBERCULOSIS AND NON-TUBERCULOSIS MYCOBACTERIA SOL 1999N00117 DUE 060199 POC Margie Usry, Contract Specialist, (770) 488-2699 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates awarding a contract for the development and implementation of a performance evaluation program to assess laboratory susceptibility testing processes for drug resistant strains of Mycobacterium turberculosis and selected strains of non-tuberculosis mycobacteria (NTM). Prospective offerors will be required to maintain and update a database of volunteer laboratories, perform electronic entry and editing of data from tb susceptibility performance evaluation results, create master and edited data files containing the results submitted by laboratories, prepare mycobacterial strains and sample panels to be used for performance evaluation of susceptibility testing, ship M. tuberculosis and NTM strains panels, develop a data dictionary for a CDC-provided survey instrument and collect and enter survey results. The period of performance will be two years with one two-year option. The date specified for receipt of offers will be approximately 30 days after the RFP issue date which will be approximately April 29, 1999.
