This serves as a "Notice of Intent" to award a sole source contract to Unisys Corporation for annual maintenance on the following servers: ALR serial numbers 0738926, 0739016, 0739179, and 0739180 and Sequent serial numbers 12272 and 12252. This sole source procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, due to the duplication of costs that is not expected to be recoveredby competition due to unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirement. The services to be provided are on an on-call basis with a two to four hour response time during the principal period of maintenance for 5 x 12 coverage, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. The period of performance is for one base year, with two, one-year option periods [FAR 52.232-19, Availability of Funds for the Next Fiscal Year, applicable].
