The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement for Radio/Cell Phone/Pager Communication Services (as follows): Must provide services for 89 portable numeric and text paging units (Motorola i600), with unlimited instant air-time carrier services for regional coverage in (Atlanta, Georgia's) zones 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, which means geographical coverage north and south of Georgia, from Lagrange through Augusta, Phone Service Access for 35 minutes per unit, per month, for a total of 89 Radio/Cell Phone/Pager communicators, which include 50 pages per unit, per month. Must meet specifications as follows: have two-way radio with privacy mode capability, telephone interconnect and alphanumeric paging capability; All features must be secure from cloning and scanning of conversations; Telephone mode able to operate through the system without roaming charges. Units able to be organized into separate, private talkgroups as well as multiple talkgroups not limited to geographical boundaries; and to cover 80 percent of Georgian counties. The period of performance is May 1, 1999, through September 30, 1999. Quotes must include price and product literature information which lists specifications.
