Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Office of Europe the New
Independent States (NIS) and Training has a requirement for an
individual to be a Program Officer in Washington, DC for the Eastern
Europe, the Baltics and the Balkans. The incumbent will take the lead
in developing, cooridnating, organizing, implementing, and overseeing
operational programs, strategy, planning and law enforcement and
counternarcotics assistance in this area. The incumbent will also serve
ar liaison officer/ main point of contact for Foreign service posts,
State's regional and country desk officers and relevant US and foreign
law enforcement agencies. This assignment is for one year with the
option to extend the term. PSCs are treated on par with other USG
employees. Minimum qualifications include: must be a U.S. citizen,
subject to State Department security clearance (Top Secret level); at
least 10 years of international relations, Foreign Service or other
State Departmentexperience, including at least three years of
experience relevant to program development, management and
implementation; and the ability to travel on an intermitten basis. A
Sf-171 or resune is required to apply. The GS grade equivalent is
GS-12/13 level. This requirement is for individuals only. A PSC will
