ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE FTS2000 ACQUISITION The General Services Adminstration Post-Award Procurement Networking Session Announcement for the FTS2000 Acquisition. In a continuing effort to enhance General Services Administration (GSA) procurement opportunities for small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small businessess, the Office of Enterprise Development (OED), in conjuction with the Federal TEchnology Service Federal Computer Acquisition Center (FEDAC) will be conducint a Post-Award Procurement Networking Session under the Federal Technology Service's FTS2000 acquisition. FTS2001 was awarded to two telecommunications service providers and will require support in many functional areas. FTS2001 will provide multi-billion dollars worth of procurement opportunities to the two contractors that won the award. These contractors will be required to team and subcontract with various small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned smallbusinessess in order to successfully compete for the acquisition and perfom the work to be letunder the contracts. The networking session will allow MCI WorldCom and US Spring to come together with these small firms to discuss business interests with the hope of establishing a contracting relationship for FTS2001. To provide the maximum opporutnity for small businessess to participate and receive award consideration for this acquisition, the Standard Industrial Classification code for the procurement is 7379. The FTS2001 acaquisition is subject to the Small Disadvantaged Business Price Evaluation Adjustment factor. To ensure that the potential price contractors and the interested large and small business representatives have effective comunications for establishing partnerhips, teaming arrangement or subcontracting agreements, only the first 75 firms ro register will be allowed to participate in this networking session.
