Z -- REROOF BUILDING 410A AND A-BARRACKS BUILDING SOL RAQ990008 DUE 060499 POC Kay Ryan, 208-387-5717 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) has a requirement to reroof two buildings located on the NIFC complex, Boise, Ada County, Idaho. Since both projects are similar, the work is consolidated under a single solicitation. The two projects include reroofing the A-Barracks building and Building 410A. The Contractor shall (a) remove all existing roofing; (b) remove roof vents; (c) extend parapet walls; (d) install tapered insulation; (e) install the new roof; (f) install new metal coping caps; (g) build up A/C supports. Items above may apply to either project or to both. The current roof structures are as follows: (a) A-Barracks: concrete over a steel deck covered by aggregate weighted ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), approximately 50 ft X 98 ft (4,900 sq ft) in size; (b) Building 410-A: wood deck structure covered by EPDM, approximately 36 ft X 159 ft (5,724 sq ft) in size. Both projects are to be replaced with connected metal panel roofs. Work shall commence according to the instructions on the notice to proceed form. All work shall be completed by July 26, 1999, weather permitting. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside and SIC 1761, Roofing, Siding, and Sheet Metal Work applies. The small business size standard is $7.0 million for the past three fiscal years. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used for award and Davis-Bacon labor rates apply. The estimated value of this requirement is less than $100,000. Only written offers will be accepted and it is anticipated award will be made by June 9, 1999.
