E-MAIL: Sherrye Driscoll, driscoll@eglin.af.mil. Eglin AFB has a requirement for Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Building Demolition, Eglin AFB FL. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials to complete building building demolition on an "as needed" basis, Eglin AFB FL. The site of the work is Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Locations of work may be on the Main Base or on the surrounding Eglin Reservation. Work locations will be identified in individual delivery orders issued against this contract. This is a "Trade-Off" Contract. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is one year for the Basic contract plus four One-Year options. In general, the work shall consist of the following: Removal of existing asbestos-containing materials and lead base paint from the buildings or facilities; Demolition of buildings, complete, including all foundations, appurtenances, equipment and utilities above and below ground; Demolition of miscellaneous facilities such as walls, pavements, foundations, fencing, drainage structures, and similar construction; Demolition of existing HVAC, fire detection and plumbing equipment, piping, ducts and controls and demolition of existing gas piping; Demolition of existing electrical service lines, equipment, fixtures and wiring and demolition of existing telepphone and television equipment and wiring; Filling all holes and other depressions resulting from demolition of the buildings and facilities; Seeding or sodding of certain filled and damaged ground areas. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform allwork and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials complete in accordance with the specifications. Proposal closing of 20 MAY 1999 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $1M and$5M for the Basic and all four options.
