Work consists of providing all labor, supplies, material, supervision, transportation, equipment, and all else necessary to complete the repair of the Visiting Airmen Quarters (VAQ), Bldg 536, at Nellis AFB NV. The work involves demolition, architectural and interior modifications, some mechanical and electrical modifications; and some paving and grading will be required as part of the work. Specific areas to be modified include rough and finish carpentry; interior architectural woodwork; aluminum windows and wood doors, including hardware; sound and building insulation; firestopping; gypsum board systems and metal stud framing; carpet and tile flooring; painting; modification of existing HVAC system; plumbing; installation of fire sprinklers throughout the facility; fire alarm system modifications; power; telephone; and lighting. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $1 Million and $5 Million with a performance period of 280 calendar days. The applicable SIC for this acquisition is 1522 with a three-year average annual small business size standard of $17 million. The proposed contract listed here is unrestricted and open to all firms, including small and small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. A small business subcontracting plan (with separate goals for small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns) will be required to be negotiated prior to and included in the award of this project if it is made to a Large Business concern. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically o/a 3 May 1999 on the Government_s Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://eps.gov. Paper copies are not available.
