The U.S. Air Force, 60th Contracting Squadron, Travis AFB CA is interested in reviewing and evaluating new technologies and/or commercially available equipment or identifying manufacturers of equipment used to sterilize solid waste removed from passenger flights. Note: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is not a request for proposals. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to seek commercial sources with existing hardware/processes to meet the environmental/agricultural requirements for sterilization of solid waste prior to processing. Interested firms are invited to submit, in writing, information on any equipment or processes by close of business (5:00 pm PDT) 30 April 1999. While there is no specific format for your submittals, vendors are encouraged to submit as much information about their equipment and/or process as possible. Vendors whose equipment uses/produces materials considered hazardous must state that in their literature. Firms responding should also indicate whether they are a manufacturer or dealer, small business, small disadvantaged business, a socially and economic disadvantaged business, or a woman owned business.
