The Utah Department of Health (UDOH), Division of Health Care Finance (DHCF), has issued a Request for Information (RFI) as a preliminary to the issuance of an RFP which will procure the design, development, and implementation of a Medicaid Managed Care system. The purpose of the Medicaid managed care system project is to develop a comprehensive and flexible new automated support tool to augment the MMIS and related systems. The DHCF intends to procure a system that will meet the objectives, and provide the desired functions as described in the RFI. This system will be operated by the DHCF. DHCF welcomes alternatives with supporting information as a response to this RFI. This would support potential inclusions in the RFP. Respondents are encouraged to offer innovative potential solutions for a stand-alone or integrated system, whether transferred and modified or newly-developed system. It is the intent of the DHCF to have each respondent discuss the options for a system solution for the stated requirements.
