In an attempt to address manpower reductions, The Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) System Program Office (SPO) released an RFI to industry on 5 Feb 99 requesting interested contractors formally address the feasibility and affordability of consolidating all or part of DMSP space segment support and service contracts. As a result of that analysis, DMSP has decided to pursue consolidating, under a single prime contractor, all sensor segment support and service effort. The proposed award is contemplated on or about 01 April 00 with 4 annual options extending the period of performance to 01 April 05. Interested and qualified contractors are asked to submit Statements of Capability (SOC) to be received within fifteen days from the date of publication of this notice in the CBD.
