purpose of this synopsis is to advise industry, for planning and/or
preparation purposes of an A-76 COST COMPARISON STUDY FOR SIX (6)
ELEMENTS WITHIN THE BASE SUPPLY SQUADRON AT HURLBURT FLD, FL. This
study is being conducted for the performance of the following elements
(1) Quality (Procedures and Analysis), (2) Inventory, (3) Document
Control, (4) Retail Sales Outlet Section (Individual Equipment Unit),
(5) Pick-Up and Delivery, and (6) HAZMAT Pharmacy. The Contracting
office anticipates issuing a Request For Proposal (RFP) using FAR Part
12 and 15 for a basic performance period with four (4) one-year option
periods preceded by a 30 to 60 day phase-in period. The contract type
will be Firm Fixed Price. The anticipated solicitation issue date is
Jun/Jul 99. The Contractor will perform the above functions in
accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW), Air Force Manual 23-110,
and supporting guidance. A draft copy of the SOW is posted at the
Government Central Electronic Posting System. Request interested
parties review the draft SOW and comment on the overall content of the
SOW and its_ relationship to standard commercial practices for this
type of operation. The SIC code, business size determinations and
acquisition procedures have not been made final as of this date. A
second synopsis will be issued when this new information becomes
available. Respondents must identify their business status, i.e.,
woman-owned, minority-owned, Native American (tribally owned or Alaskan
Native), or large or small business, the point(s) of contact with the
appropriate voice and fax number, as well as the mailing and email
