sources to provide health care worker services at the Naval Hospital,
Camp Lejeune, NC and its branch clinics, and other Federal medical
facilities located in North Carolina. The total quantity and the
specific identity of all clinics to be encompassed will be provided in
the RFP. The government intends to award multiple personal service,
fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contracts.
The solicitation (RFP) for this procurement is tentatively scheduled
for release on or about 14 May 1999. Health care worker services to be
included in this acquisition include: Definitized positions:
Physicians, Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners, Charge Nurses,
Registered Nurses Licensed practical Nurses, Certified Nursing
Assts/Certified Medical Assts, Health Educators, Pharmacy Technicians
and Laboratory Technologists. The solicitation will include an
undefinitized requirement for Physicians, Physician Assistants/Nurse
Practitioners, Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses Licensed Practical
Nurses, Certified Nursing Assts/Certified Medical Assts, Health
Educators, Pharmacy Technicians, and Laboratory Technologists,
Radiologists, Physician Assts/Family Nurse Practitioners/Pediatric
Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Medical Technicians-paramedics,
Pharmacists, Radiology Technologists, Mammography Technologists,
Laboratory supervisors and Laboratory Technicians for the contract
maximums with a five-year ordering period. The minimum quantities will
be ordered via issuance of task orders awarded concurrently with the
award of the basic contract(s). Subsequent task orders for quantities
exceeding the minimum amounts will be competed between successful
contract awardees. The solicitation for this acquisition will be
