In accordance with FAR 15.201, the Air Force requests information (RFI) to determine if sources are available and capable of operating the Hypobaric chamber(s) at Brooks AFB Texas (San Antonio) within budget restraints. Due to recent budget cuts, current in-house maintenance will not be available after September 30, 99. Therefore, this RFI will include a site visit (for viewing the chamber(s)) and a request for price estimate along with the interested sources' plan for maintenance. Estimates will be used SOLELY for planning purposes. Interested sources are liable for all costs associated with this effort and there is no guarantee that the Air Force will acquire/contract out for any of these services. A site visit is scheduled for Thursday May 6, 99 at Brooks AFB. Interested sources will meet at Bldg 626 at 1:00 p.m. Sources interested in this effort shall contact SSgt Katherine Quicksall at (210) 536-6247 and e-mail her at kathy.quicksall@brooks.af.mil or Bea DeLos Santos at (210) 536-6227 and e-mailat bea.delossantos@brooks.af.mil at least 5 workdays prior to the visit. Initial questions can also be e-mailed to them prior to the visit in an attempt to have responses at the site-visit. Sources are reminded that the Government does not presently intend to award a contract, but wants to obtain price, delivery, other market information, or capabilities for planning purposes only.
