This is a combined synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and quotes are solicited with this notice. The quotation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-11. The Television-Audio Support Activity (T-ASA) proposes to procure the following: engineering, furnishing, installation, testing and training to provide four (4) field production van systems. Systems consist of the van (commercially available vehicle, except where modifications are required to meet the specification of the Statement of Work), complete electronic news gathering (ENG) system/equipment, VHF/UHF TV signal acquisition equipment, video production system, and various electrical, lighting and cabling. Government inspection and acceptance will be at the contractor'sfacility, point of manufacture and/or integration. The Government inspector(s) will travel to the contractor's facility to observe final testing and familiarization of the van systems and take delivery of the systems. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Offeror's quotes shall include all of the specification data as requested in the Statement of Work to enable the Government to determine the capability of the offeror to meet the requirements. Quotes in response to this notice must be submitted in writing. The evaluation criteria for this solicitation will consist of technical capability of the offeror to meet the agency requirement, price and past performance. Technical capability and past performance together are approximately equal to price.
