Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source purchase order under
the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Applied Information Engineering
Solutions, Inc, Sterling, VA, to provide System Engineering and
Technical Assistance (SETA) and Independent Verification and Validation
(IV&V) support for customization of the Acquisition Management
Automation System (AMAS), a proprietary system. The AMAS system is
designed to carry out each phase of the acquisition process, from the
generation of the end user's requirement to contract management and
administration. This support will focus on assisting the CDC AMAS
Program Office in the development and maintenance of an AMAS life cycle
management plan. Performance requires familiarity with both the AMAS
system itself and with procurement procedures/issues which are unique
