The OCC intends to hold a limited competition for meeting facilities and services for the Bank Risk Measurement Conference in October 1999 in Washington, DC; Crystal City or Rosslyn, VA. This is a two-day meeting with setup the day before. There will be approximately 500 attendees, and approximately 200 of which will require guest rooms for two nights. The conference format includes a general session set for 500 classroom or combination classroom/theatre style, two concurrent session rooms for 150 each classroom style, three offices, lunch at rounds, and a reception and/or dinner. There will also be a registration area, continental breakfast and coffee breaks. This procurement is based on a limited competition and no solicitation will be available. However, responsible hotels with this capability and date availability in October may submit a proposal no later than 3:00pm on Thursday, April 29, 1999. Hotels must submit evidence that they meet the following mandatory requirements: 1) compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and have a FEMA certification number; 2) compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following quality ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; or three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner.
