(520) 562-3301 FAX (520) 562-4008 The Gila River Indian Community (GRIC) is requesting sealed bids from General Contractors for the construction of a segment of the Pima-Maricopa Irrigation Project (P-MIP) water distribution system, located on the GRIC Reservation along Pecos Road from south of Price Road to east of Kyrene Road in Maricopa County. This 2.79 miles of pipeline project is commonly known as "Memorial Area Pipeline, Reach MM-1B" and consists of underground installation of 84-inch diameter (14,707 ft.) concrete pressure pipe including 5 manholes and 3 air/vacuum valves. The project duration is 330 days, with estimated start date on August 2, 1999. Price range is $4,000,00 to $8,000,000. Bidding documents including Plans and Specifications, may be purchased by making payment of $200 (non-refundable) to the Tribal Cashier located in Tribal Council Ke at the SW corner of Pima and Main Streets, Sacaton, Arizona. Bid Documents may then be picked up at the P-MIP Project Office located in the Land & Water Resources Building, Room 200, 192 Skill Center Road, Sacoton, Arizona. There will be a Pre-Bid Conference on May 27, 1999, at 9:00 am at the P-MIP Project Office. Bids are due on June 10, 1999, at 2:00 pm (Arizona time) and shall be returned in sealed envelope clearly marked "Memorial Area Pipeline, Reach MM-1B" to Connie Huenergardt at P.O. Box 97, 315 West Casa Blanca Road, Sacaton, Arizona. Bid opening will be at 2:30 pm, following closing time, at P-MIP Project Office. Each shall be accompanied by a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, and 50% Payment Bond. All Bidders are to comply with GRIC regulations and policies, including community member preference in employment and Indian-owned business preference as established by the GRIC.
