The Corps of Engineers has a need for a construction contract for concrete repairs to vertical faces of the lock chamber walls at Lock 7, Allegheny River, Kittanning, Pennsylvania. The work includes; limited replacement of horizontal lock wall concrete; complete paving of the lock entry road; remove deteriorated concrete in chamber walls and place pre-cast concrete panels with in-fill concrete behind the panels; new access road paving using cast-in-place concrete and shotcrete; replacement of large stone scour protection along downstream dam river wall; and other miscellaneous work replacing steel corner protection, installing new automatic slide gate and painting. The vertical concrete repairs will be performed during a 45 day dewatering period in the fall-winter of 1999. Magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000; The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed paperhard copy format. The CD's will be available approximately 051399.
