69 -- IMPROVED SURFACE TOW TARGET SOL N68936-99-R-0110 DUE 063099 POC Danielle Hawthorne, Contract Specialist, 805/989-4091 Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) Point Mugu, CA is soliciting competitive proposals for the fabrication, testing and delivery of the Improved Surface Tow Target (ISTT). The ISTT is a tow target capable of simulating various threat scenarios. It is an 8.5 meter (28 ft.) fiberglass constructed target which is capable of supporting operations while being towed behind a QST-35/35A up to 25 knots in a sea state 1 and 20 knots in sea state 3. Physical characteristics of the ISTT are 8.565 meters (25 feet) in length; 2.438 meters (8 feet) beam per unit; and 1150 kilograms (2,535 lbs.) in weight. The ISTT shall be built in accordance with the Government Statement of Work and Drawing package provided with the solicitation. The contract will be for 1 each Trial Unit and 5 each initial production units. The Trial Unit will be due 6 months after award of contract with subsequent units due within 30 days at a rate of two per month. Additional IDIQ production quantities, not to exceed 32 units, will be delivered as required on individual delivery orders. Delivery of all units shall be FOB Destination, Naval Air Warfare Station, Point Mugu, CA. Copies of the statement of work and drawing package will be provided with the solicitation.
