NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation RFQ5-26115-988 on a sole source basis for the following: Qty 29 each: Sammi Version 4.6 Format Editor for ASIST Workstations. Qty 32 each: Sammi version 4.6 Runtime Environment for ASIST Workstations. Qty 2 each: Sammi Version 4.6 Application Development Kit for ASIST Workstations. Qty 5 each: Sammi Format Editor + for ASIST Workstation. Qty 1 year: One year of Maintenance, telephone consultation, and software upgrades for above items. Qty 1 set: Year 2000 compliance documentation for above items. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Sammi software is an integral part of the ASIST spacecraft command and control system currently in use by the MIDEX Project. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Kinesix Corporation. Sammi is an exclusive product of the Kinesix Corporation and only available from them. The Authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. Interested firms have 21 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
