is seeking certified 8(a) sources for a service and maintenance
contract (requirement indicated as Part 1) for the following equipment:
1. MGI Solitaire 35mm film recorder; 2. Oxberry 35mm bulk load film
back; 3. Image Director Imaging System to include: Pentium 200 Rip
Station, Pentium 100 Spooling Station, Hardware/Software Integration,
Software Upgrades as required, Support for Image Director Software
including upgrades, and Support for Novel Network Software; 4. Encad
NovaJet Pro 50 Large Format Color Plotter including Network Interface
Support; and 5. Kodak XL7700 Dye Sublimation Color Printer, including
all parts except drum. A service contract requirement, is required for
the following equipment (requirement indicated as Part 2): Four (4)
Dual Pentium Pro200 Graphic Workstations including: Motherboard, 324 Mb
RAM, 128 Bit 4Mb Graphic Accelerator, (2) 4.5 Gb SCSI Hard Drive, 2.1
Gb SCSI Hard Drive, 3.5" Floppy Drive, 16 bit Sound Card, and 4x
Internal SCSI Yamaha CD Recorder, 8 Gb Segate SCSI Tape backup, SCSI
Controller, Windows NT 4.0, Software Support, and Network Interface
Support; Two (2) Dual Pentium Pro200 Video Editing Workstations
including: Motherboard, 128 Mb RAM, Fast Video Capture Card, 9 Gb SCSI
Hard Drive, 3.5" Floppy Drive, 32 Bit Sound Card, 4x Internal Multi
Session SCSI CD Recorder, SCSI Controller, Software Support, and
Network Interface Support; and One (1) Pentium 133 Graphic Workstation
including: Motherboard, 128 Mb RAM, ATI ISA Graphic Card, 2.1 Gb Hard
Drive, 4x Internal CD Recorder, Software Support, and Network
Interface Support. Specific work requirements for the service and
maintenance for equipment under Part 1, and service work required for
the equipment under Part 2 will be available upon request in writing,
to those responding to this announcement that can provide clear and
convincing documentation that they are a certified 8(a) firm and able
to provide the requirements above. Services and maintenance will be
performed at theDenver Federal Center, Denver, CO, and requires one
hour telephone support and four hour on-site response. It is
anticipated that a fixed-price one year w/two option years contract
will be written for this requirement. This notice is not a request for
proposal, but is a market research announcement to determine if there
are potential competitive 8(a) sources for this requirement.
Interested qualified 8(a) firms are requested to fax their interest and
certification documentation to (303)445-6345 (White), by April 28,
1999. Respondents will not be notified of the results of individual
evaluation, but respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered
in any resultant request for quotation for these services that is
issued under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. Note, however,
that the government reserves the right to determine the appropriate
preference program based upon responses (or lack thereof), to this
notice. This will be the only published announcement for this
requirement. If an 8(a) procurement is not feasible, a Request For
Quotations (RFQ)for the services will be posted on the Bureau of
Reclamation Internet website at http://www.usbr.gov/aamsden between
4/29/99 and 5/6/99. It is the potential offerors responsibility to
monitor these sites for the release of any subsequent synopsis or RFQ.
