N -- REMOVE EXISTING AND INSTALL NEW AUGER LIFT AND GRINDER FOR SEWAGE TREATMENT SOL RFQ 124-0008 DUE 050799 POC Richard Houser, Contract Specialist 608-584-6120 This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ 124-0008) for the purpose of upgrading sewage plant via removal of the existing influent grinder and mechanical bar screen. Purchasing and installing a new auger lift and grinder. Furnishing a new screening platform over the channel opening. Provide electrical services to remove old conduit and panels. Installation of a new panel, wire new grinder, auger lift, transducer, and provide all necessary electrical materials and labor to make the system operational. To also provide start up and related operational training to institutional staff. The required auger lift and grinder shall be a 3/60/230/460 volt, five horsepower high efficiency electric motor, 2500mm cuttings conveyance tube with shiftless auger, compaction zone and a 3/60/230/460 volt one and half horsepower high efficiency electric motor for the auger drive. A 3/60/230/460 volt control panel for complete integrated control of the entire system. The auger lift and grinder shall be sesigned for 18" to 36" channel widths, it shall accommodate flows up to 2.3MGD. The motors shall be explosion proof and the control panel shall be NEMA 7.
